2003 Horse - "Mina"
Artwork Description: Lively hues and hand-made materials reflect traditional Native American culture within the design of Mina, whose name translates to “tall and proud.” St. Hilary School seventh grader Natalie Friess created the colt’s design, which combines Native American décor with the nostalgia of a carousel. Her idea became a reality with the helping hands of Mrs. Metzger and her seventh and eighth grade classes, who painted and decorated the colt in a Native American design. Serpentini Chevrolet, owned by Bob and Kathy Serpentini, sponsored the colt.
