Artwork Description:
The theme of the horse is outer space travel. and also attended Fairlawn Elementary as a child.

Inspiration for Artwork:
Fairlawn Elementary students worked on this rocking horse. The school's name is being changed to Judith A. Resnik Elementary. Resnik lived and died for space travel and also attended Fairlawn Elementary as a child.

Media Used:
Painted and decorated pieces of paper paper mached to horse to create a whole space theme.

Students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade worked on the rocking horse, approximately 350 students total. Decoration of the rocking horse was arranged by Art Teacher Sarah Huziak.

Sarah Huziak has been teaching at Fairlawn Elementary school for almost six years. Ideas were created by Sarah Huziak, Gabrielle McKeever and Jerry McKeever.
