Artwork Description:
This year, the St. Vincent/ St. Mary High School name has been splashed across the news in conjunction with the repeated success of NBA draft pick LeBron James. In honor of the school’s national championship 2002-2003 basketball team, artist Ann Gosser decorated this colt with a St. V’s basketball uniform and signatures from the entire St. V team, including seniors LeBron James, Sian Cotton, Romeo Travis, James Dru Joyce III, Willie McGee and USA Today Coach of the Year Dru Joyce II. Gosser has been a freelance artist for many years, working in fibers, acrylic painting, sculpture and collage. Bob Serpentini and his wife Kathy, who has volunteered many hours to the Horse of a Different Color event, sponsored this Irish colt.
