Artwork Description:
The wooden toy box is filled with toys and games that were "dry brushed" and distressed. The fiberglass rocking horse is faux painted to look like old leather. Most items are wood and painted with acrylic.

Inspiration for Artwork:
This theme was chosen because recreation provides the opportunity for "children of all ages" to re-create themselves through play and leisure-time activities. The artists were inspired by the I Spy books. There is a list of different items to find!

Artist: Northwest Family Recreation Center

Selected students from the "Art for Kids" and "Clay and Ceramic" classes at Northwest Family Recreation Center decorated the rocking horse. Children ages 9-12 years old were chosen for their painting and design abilities and their interest in art.
