Artwork Description:
Someone else’s trash heap contains a field of treasures for artist P.R. Miller, who is best known for transforming “junque” into art. Miller learned at an early age to appreciate the valuables discarded in other people’s garbage. He received a degree in art education from The University of Akron, served as an artist-in-residence in the Norton Public School district and studied abroad in Norway. The Maynard Family Foundation, long-time contributors to Children’s, sponsored the colt.
