"Snoopy Project-Project Linus"
Artwork Description: Good grief, Charlie Brown! This rocking horse looks like your dog! The Peanuts gang would be proud of this rocking horse, decorated to look like Snoopy standing on his dog house. It also features Woodstock, and Linus and his blanket, which is really the most important part of this piece of artwork.
Inspiration for Artwork:
This horse honors Project Linus, a 100% volunteer non-profit organization whose mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afgans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."
Project Linus is a national organization, with a chapter right here in Akron. There are 357 chapters around the country, with an amazing total of 1,347,961 blankets donated.
