2003 Horse - "Shining Star"

Artwork Description:
The sentiment, that “every child is a shining star,” is reflected in the Shining Star colt. The Field Middle School Student Council chose the Horse of a Different Color event as a service project and used money from school fundraisers to purchase a colt. Students in art teacher Carl Miller’s classes submitted ideas for the colt’s design. Every student took part in applying the final design idea to the colt. Located in Portage County, the Field Local School district is comprised of students from the communities of Brimfield and Suffield Townships.
