Artwork Description:
Venus, the Greek goddess of love, and hearts, the symbols of love, guided the design of a colt by Firestone High School. Students collected fabric hearts bearing the loopy signatures of Children’s Hospital patients and blanked their colt with the personalized cards. Art teacher Bobbie Smith helped the students with the project. Akron Children’s Hospital’s Heart and Cancer Centers sponsored this amorous colt.
